You must register your business for VAT with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) if its VAT taxable turnover is more than £85,000 in a rolling 12-month period. You can register voluntarily if your turnover is less than £85,000, unless everything you sell is exempt. You’ll have certain responsibilities if you register for VAT.

£99 VAT REGISTRATION (FOREIGN ENTITIES)
Economic Operators Registration and Identification Number. You need an EORI number to move goods between the UK and non-EU countries (whether you are registered for VAT or not).
From 1 January 2021 you will need one to move goods between Great Britain and the EU. You’ll not need an EORI number if you only provide services.
Additionally you’ll need an EU-EORI number from an EU country if your business still will be making declarations or getting a customs decision in the EU. Get this from the customs authority in the EU country where you submit your first declaration or request your first decision.
